Satoshi is a graduate of Waseda University Senior High School and Waseda Graduate School of Sciences. He has been involved in software development since his high school days, and in university, developed the predecessor of Japan's CAD software, "CANDY". After graduation, he joined NTT as a researcher, later joining Japan's Microsoft branch office. In 1989, he transferred to Microsoft's head office in America, where he worked as the chief architect in developing Windows 95, Internet Explorer 3.0 / 4.0 and Windows 98. In 2000, he left Microsoft and started UIEvolution, currently serving as company director. In 2007 and 2010, he established Big Canvas Inc. and neu.Pen respectively, dealing with the development of iOS applications.
At SXSW 2014, Satoshi teamed up with ZEPPELIN to promote VideoShader, and sharing the CEO's vision, joined ZEPPELIN in May 2014. Currently, as Chief Technology Officer, he seeks to bring about new values targeting the next generation, and leads ZEPPELIN in pursuing the possibilities that arise from uniting IT and design.
